這張專輯，後來的人們稱之為《第四號專輯》(Led Zeppelin IV)、《無名專輯》(The Unnamed Album)、或著是《四符號》(Four Symbols)。這張專輯中，最具代表性的歌曲名為〈登往天堂之梯〉(Stairway to Heaven)。
大部份的人都以為，吉米‧佩吉只是為了要引起話題而刻意在唱片封面上搞怪，但後來發現，將〈Stairway to Heaven〉這首曲子倒帶播放後，會出現不可思議的事情，才有人開始認真思考，其實它所設計的唱片封面是否有隱藏訊息呢？
〈Stairway to Heaven〉在4分20秒至4分40秒的地方，歌詞如下：
