台中張家祖廟
[color=blue]張家祖廟:
位於舊名下七張犁（今西屯協和里一帶），原是祖籍福建汀州府寧化石村的馬堂張氏後裔所建的祠堂。屬雙進雙護龍格局，其選址精緻，反應地主、家廟與佃戶之空間組群與建築，營造型制為本省唯一證例，具特殊之文化價值，台中第三級古蹟。
張家祖廟內的建築格局有其代表性特色，例如「雙堂雙橫」代表前有三川殿、後有發祥堂；「前魚池，後果子」指前有半月池、後有竹林。張家祖廟之建築形式非常特別，有別於一般的對稱建築，其建築幾乎全為左右不對稱，各具代表意義。

半月池:風水池或魚池，為外埕外側開口向內且圓型多位於中軸線上之半圓形水池其不僅有風水意義，並有防火．養魚．洗衣功能．
