美國空軍第一架C-17運輸機退役

美國空軍第一架C-17運輸機（87－0025）在服役21年後退役進入美國空軍國家博物館。

1991年9月15日：T-1號C-17從長灘市機場飛往愛德華茲空軍基地。機組人員包括飛行員比爾凱西，副駕駛中校喬治（第6510試驗聯隊），裝卸長特德和試飛工程師喬治

T-1號基本上是手工製造的只用於測試和評估，參與了美國空軍、NASA和其他許多的飛行和推進系統實驗，預計壽命是五年，但是透過定期的翻修，壽命延長到了21年。

T-1參與了多部電影的拍攝：《變形金剛》，《鋼鐵人》，《變形金剛2 》，《鋼鐵人2》，目前正在拍攝的《超人：鋼鐵之軀 》



最後一次乘坐的T-1號C-17的參與首次飛行的機組人員 ，愛德華茲1623機庫舉行儀式，紀念C-17第一次飛行。圖為：飛行員比爾凱西（左上）;裝卸長特德（右上）;副駕駛喬治（中）;和試飛工程師亨利（下）。
